Surface-ripened or monastery cheeses were an important source of protein for the monks who developed them. Their robust flavors were cherished since, at that time, spices were rare. Limburger is the most famous of all Belgian cheeses, and was sold in the town of Limburg. Today, a single cheese plant in WI, produces all of the Limburger made in the U.S.


Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not ship over the weekend. Most orders placed Thursday-Sunday will ship the following Monday, unless Saturday delivery is available in your area. We will notify you with a tracking number once your package ships.

All of our cheeses are handcrafted by Master Cheesemakers in small batches using only the best ingredients in Southern Wisconsin.

Because our cheese is hand-cut, your cheese may arrive slightly more or slightly less than listed net weight.
